Land, Tenure and History

The Cove Property is comprised of 368 hectares of mineral claims (unpatented and patented) within Lander County, located some 32 miles south of the Town of Battle Mountain, Nevada. Major targets under recent or current evaluation include the UPC at McCoy, the CSD and 2201 Zones at Cove, the Helen Zone and Windy Point.

Gold was first discovered in the McCoy Mining District in 1914 by Joseph H. McCoy, with total production through 1977 of about 10,000 ounces of gold and minor quantities of silver, lead and copper.

In 1985, Tenneco undertook drilling metallurgical testing and engineering/feasibility studies which lead to mining at McCoy in 1986. Echo Bay Mines continued the systematic exploration initiated by Tenneco, which lead to the discovery of the Cove deposit in 1987.

Recent discoveries made by Victoria Resources in 2006 and Premier Gold since 2012 highlight the significant potential that exists at depth, within structures and horizons previously discounted as less prospective and having received little systematic evaluation with modern exploration methods.
